Magnificent story
Dawson pens a magnificent story in A Death in Bloomsbury. I haven't read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed this. The characters were raw and very gritty. This author brings the story to life. The characters had a lot of depth, and were very realistic. It's London in the early thirties. A man who lives a double life, finds a murdered woman. He put his life on the line to find this killer. Simon loves men, and in Britain, being gay is a punishable crime including prison. This story is also heartbreaking, especially feeling that you have to hide who you truly are. But, Simon may risk exposure of his secret, to uncover the truth. It was thrilling, heartbreaking, and intriguing. Masterfully written! This author not only tells the story but shows it with words as well. Simply awe-inspiring. A Death in Bloomsbury is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author.
