Action-Packed
Matthews tells an action-packed story with Northern Knights. First, I liked the premise of the story, and I liked how the author told this story. The characters, especially Cain, as they can be snarky with attitude but as the friends have known each other for a long time, it's expected about the way they talk to each other. I like how the characters relate, and they have a great chemistry. The story has a lot of details, and the characters do evolve, and are on their own journey. There is a mix of magical powers and sports (shot ball) and it works for the story. I wasn't familiar with shot ball but I learned about it in this story. I look forward to reading more by this author.
