Waterlogged by Carol Ann Ross

Grand mystery

Ross pens a grand story in Waterlogged. I haven't read anything from this author before, and I really enjoyed this story. A small seaside town which attracts tourists in the summer, a town where everyone knows each other. I like the setting and environment for this mystery. A murder in a small town, and it's just the beginning of the story. Most of the characters are residents of the town, some enjoy it, some deal with the small town, and they all have to deal with the tourists. Each character has their own personality and depths of characteristics that make the humanity jump off the pages. The reader follows along with the characters and not only the mystery of the local murder, but how and why they live. The story has multiple levels, and it's not just a murder in a small town. A very well-written story, and I enjoyed it. This story was intriguing and kept the reader guessing. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. I have fast become a big fan of Ross. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
