life's full of regrets and savagery.

I was pulled in from the first chapter and it kept my attention. Life has made Terry Gallagher an angry man, who not only lives with the regrets of his youthful past, but also what is still happening in the world. Depravity of life has hit very close to home and he needs to deal with what exists now and what made him who he is now. This is a bold and brilliant story but not for the faint hearted. I love the boldness of the writing and even the details of the "headless rodents" from a savagery childhood. The details of childhood as well as what he endures in his environment are crucial to his being and knowing who Terry truly is. Compelling story. Truly enjoyed it.
