4-stars Romantic and traumatic!
It's true, that perfection is just an illusion, but Anna and James' story is a loving, intimate romance, that shows that love can be perfect, even if life isn't. Anna is comforted by James' love for her, especially since she looks down on herself. The story is romantic, and traumatic, but it brings the pieces of how and why Anna feels the way she does, and how James truly sees her. The chemistry between Anna and James, at first felt a little forced, but it develops throughout the story. I thought at first Anna wanted James because he loved her so much. Some of the dialogue seemed a little immature, but then i realized that sometimes the "high school" years never leave some people, as with most of the characters from Anna's past. Interestingly developed story.
