After Dad by Ralph Cohen

Writer: ABSRABSR

4 stars Engrossing

This story was engrossing and written very uniquely. The different point of views added to the setting of the story. This story was heartbreaking, and yet humorous. It had to be a challenge to write, and it was written very well. This characters come to life, and the center of the characters is "Dad" (Frank). My favorite line was very early on, but it is what kept me from putting the book down until I was finished... "And once, when Mom took me to the company where he worked, I ran through all the rooms and closets looking for the capes and six-shooters that I knew had to be there. Mom got very upset and shook me, right in front of all the people, but it was Dad who really pissed me off. He just stood there like a fool, hanging his head." An amazing story, and it will clutch at the reader's emotions.
