5 stars A gruesome seduction!
Barry brings to light the most notorious serial killers, even the ones who have been long forgotten, as they were replaced by "new" or "current" serial killers. The fascination and seduction of such gruesome crimes bring to light how as a society we are almost desensitized. This book is a wonder and well written, and his first chapter starts with the killers of the 1950s, but read the prologue first. That is what enticed me the most about this book. It is not just about the killers, but about the victims, and the horror that they suffered. No one wakes up in the morning and knows that they will be killed by the end of the day. This book is absolutely captivating, if you like this sort of tale. (It's not wrong to admit that you do).
