4 stars Intriguing!

A book that kept me guessing. I thought it was unique for a character to be referred to only as the "man" in the beginning. It made me want to know what he was doing, why the author had yet to give him a name, and why he was accompanied by a six-year-old girl. I think I was as interested as the other nosey characters who hung out at the motel. This story did not disappoint, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It's a well-written story and the characters were well connected and very real. I especially liked the writing of the six-year-old which can be hard to do sometimes, as some writers treat their dialogue like adults, where this one, wrote the dialogue for a young child.
