Murder in the Past Tense by E. E Kennedy

Writer: ABSRABSR

5 Stars Tense isn't just a state of being ...

Amelia is back and now, she and Gil are expecting a baby. This book stands out among the series, and is, in my opinion, the best one yet, though I loved all of them. I like the flashbacks of showing another side of Amelia and Gil, as teens. The characters are well-developed and there is a great backstory that we finally see. There is a cute interaction of Amelia and Gil (Gilly) as teens, even though she crushes on Danny. Danny DiNicco is now a murder victim. I love how they reminisce, and Gil's words to her, "You were always Little Miss Mind the rules. I got a kick out of making you mad." It's enjoyable and suspenseful. It's another charming and quaint mystery story, with more depth of characters, and brings the entire series together. Makes you want to read the entire series all over again.
