The Kids don't stand a chance by T.J. Woodson

It's an interesting story told from different points of view. Marley wants to "master the craft" of shoplifting and he is dealing with a lot in life, such as his parent's divorce, and his pursuit of the "girl of his dreams." It's a story for young adults, but reading it brings back to a time when parents thought their kids had it easy, without realizing what their kids were going through. Drugs. Alcohol. Thievery. Death. Connections between boys and girls, and dealing with family life. All wrapped up into one story that keeps the reader focused on the story, and joining in the journey of life with Marley and his friends.
