5 Stars Very Complex and Intriguing
This is the first of Berman's work that I've read, but I will definitely read more of his work. I read the book before I read his author bio and knowing his background, it makes the story more real. This was one of those books that keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next, and taking your time to get there so you don't rush and miss anything. It's full of suspense and it's a very well-developed story, set on murder and international intrigue. I love the female detectives, Donahue and Thompson, as they embark on this investigation for the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division. I look forward to going back and reading his other books.
