A continuing series
I would say that this is the next story in the Almost Human series, but it's really a continuing story, created by these novellas. If you read this one, you must read the ones that came before it "Captivating Vampires" and "Tempting Transgressions". If you like vampires stories, this one will keep you captivated and wanting more. There is this connection with Cain and Felicity. The story is geared to college level adults, but anyone who likes romance between a vampire and human, and all the perils that may follow, this is a good continuous story. Makes you want more (and if you're interested, there are currently 9 novellas in the series). Nowak writes a good story and makes you want more, and lets you root for the vampire.
