Filled with mystery and hope
I read the first book in the Tolosa Mystery series, Red Brick Cellars, so I am very familiar with Louis. This second installment did not disappoint. I didn't find that I had to have read the first book in order to enjoy this one, but it helped. There were senses of back history that came from the first book. This was an enjoyable mystery that kept this reader guessing, and hoping for the best for the community. The explosion may have rocked the foundation of the city, Toulouse, but it didn't deter from the plot or the writing ability of Wallace. A truly enjoyable story and Louis is a definite hero that deserves more. Hope there are more stories to come!
