This book focuses on the Mediterranean diet, and contains great recipes for

improving health. An improvement in eating habits can aid in weight loss and bettering current health. It's not a cure all book, but it can help with planning meals, especially if you are new to cooking Mediterranean meals. This book is also filled with a lot of information and it is worth reading the chapters that lead up to the recipes (recipes start in chapter 5).
