The Strangler's Knot by Peter Berman

5 Stars

Riveting!

Berman has a way with words, and he brings stories to life. As a police officer,

he has the experience and the knowledge behind the crimes he writes. Berman brings the reader in on the journey of cold cases, and trying to solve what could be the insolvable, especially so many years later. "Cold cases aren’t like the fresh ones. For all we know, whoever did it might have died thirty years ago. Try and stay detached." Sandy Ellison had disappeared in 1970, and now, it's time to find her. This story is well written, and brings the victim and detectives to life. The characters have depth, and from the beginning, the concern for Ellison is there, and she's not just another case. And new partners, Caldwell and Cavaleri, need to work together, to solve these cold cases. It's one of those stories you just hold on to as long as you can, a real-page turner, with Berman a grand storyteller.
