Interesting premise!
I've read work by Mal before, and enjoyed it. I did enjoy this book, but there
may have been one or two things that were overkill in the plot department. However, with that said, I read this book from beginning to end, and enjoyed the character of Lily and her strength. I found her to be a little immature in some aspects, but she's a young character, so it fits her, even with being an agent. I think it would have worked better if Lily were a little older, especially being an undercover agent. Lily is up against dangerous criminals with paranormal or supernatural powers, and this lends to a great aspect of the story. It's an easy read, for the most part. Pharoah had a depth to his character, and wasn't just a criminal with powers. Altogether, good read.
