The Escape Artists by Chris Wallace

I was thrown by the cover

I didn't know what to expect from this story, as the cover didn't do the story

justice. The story itself is wonderfully thought-provoking and wonderful. It started off slow, but then I got into the story. There were some parts that were confusing, and everyone in the story is connected, but it's not always clear how. I had to read some passages over and that helps. A lead into adulthood, and connection between a boy and a girl who meet as children. Worth a second read.
