Sinister and thrilling
I like being surprised when I read, so I don't pay much attention to the synopsis or blurb for the books that I'm going to review. This book was one of those that grabbed the reader's attention. It was intense and sinister, looming darkness within the story. A great start for a new series, thoughtfully called "The Game of Life." I am a fan of Brook's previous work, and enjoyed her depth of writing and continuity. I look forward to reading my way through the entire novella series.
