Thrilling
This story brings Cross remembering not only his wife, Maria, but her death. It also seems that Cross has that little bit of trouble with keeping a girl, while trying to settle in, now that he's in private practice. It's a thrilling story that brings him on the hunt with Sampson, yet again. Of course, Patterson writes well, but his stories also come to life, and that's what drives me to keep reading.
