A real-page Turner
I didn't read the first book in the series, but I'm glad I didn't miss this one. This story is well-written and I enjoyed getting to know Bridgette, a young female detective. This story brings her to a small town, which can be pretty much any small town. The story was put together well, and was intriguing as Bridgette was not only dealing with her own past and connection to the town, but to find the truth behind another police officer's disappearance. It was mysterious and thrilling, and I look forward to another story from Douglas.
