Semi-Holmes like

The story had an interesting premise, with Watson doing the narrating, but I think I may have liked it better, if it were not Holmes and Watson, Doyle's characters, but were some other names. I tried to resonate the characters, but could not. The plot, however, was good and interesting, and easy to follow. Actually, the Watson character was easier to like and more interesting, as Holmes seemed a bit disconnected.
