An emotional read

I always enjoy reading one of Ware's story, and this one didn't disappoint. The book was a short read, but it was full of emotions and formalities within the church. I'm not a religious person, but this book made me feel for Ebony. The story feels familiar and is relatable, and in some ways that is sad. I enjoyed this story and found the characters well thought out and created.
