Magnificent sequel
I read The Pastor's Daughter, which leads to this great story. I found this one more compelling than the other one, yet, I enjoyed reading both stories. Ebony's confession is one that shouldn't be taken lightly and draws the reader in. She says, "Life has taught me to value each day as a gift from God and not to squander it away on foolishness." It's a powerful story and this reader thoroughly enjoyed every word, every breath from Ebony. Yes, it was Ebony's story, but it could be anyone's story.
