Dramatic and Intense
McCarthy pens a remarkable story in Cold Betrayal, and that title explains the story. With that, there is a lot more in this story. There are different layers of depths and plot lines. Victoria "Tori" is a strong character and gives the story a lot of power, and she interacts with a lot of seedy characters. I really liked McCarthy's writing style and how she tells a story. The premise is unique and this reader, like Tori, never knows who to trust. Enter in the drug lord, and it gives more depth to the story. This was one page-turner that I won't soon forget, and I hope to read more by this author.
