Another remarkable book in the Immigrant series
Beckstrand pens a poignant story in Anna's Prayer: The True Story of an Immigrant Girl. I have read anything from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. I also read the other stories in this series, and they are stand alone, but I think all books in a series should be read. It gives the reader insight, especially when the same characters are within the story. Ida and Anna are sent to America by their mother, but the sisters are separated. This is Anna's story, all alone in a place where she prays to meet someone who speaks her language, and not to be so alone. It's a wonderful story. It's emotional and uplifting as well. Anna's Prayer: The True Story of an Immigrant Girl is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author.
