Interesting, to say the least
This is the first book by Pearl that I've read, and I did enjoy it. Pearl puts together a good story. It was humorous and thrilling to enter Chuck Steak's life. (The name brings a great weight to the story). Chuck is a very hard-nosed action packed cop, and his character definitely had some depth. The story was told in present tense, and in third person. I found that an interesting choice from the author, but the story worked. I liked it, and some parts I even laughed out loud. I look forward to reading more by this author.
