CJ Bahr- Valley Fever

4 Stars

Enjoyed this story!

What a great story in Valley Fever by CJ Bahr. I've read work from Bahr before, and loved the writing and plots. This is a different type of story, but it still enters the realms of the author's imagination, and something happens that brings Jill into a world she never knew existed. Danger, monsters, elves, and a fae-Prince. It's a very interesting journey, and how the regular world of California after an earthquake of horrifying magnitudes, something deep happens. Jill is an interesting character, and she finds herself in a unique situation, and very unsure about what will happen next. Now, she and Thomas have to find away to cut the tension between them, and also save humanity from extinction. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. This author has a great imagination and I'm glad it's being shared with stories. The author's technique of raw, magnetic characters and great plotlines is a gift. Who could ask for more when it's filled with fantastical creatures and other evil, yet, interesting beings? I hope to read more books by this author. Valley Fever is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
