Eric Danhoff- The Rooms Have You Now

5 Stars

Just a few words of horror!

What a terrifying short story in The Rooms Have You Now by Eric Danhoff. Felix is in a situation, he isn't quite clear of, with obscure notes, a building "shaped" like an office building, and blood droplets ... to say the least. It's only a short story, but it is definitely not an easy read (which you want in a horror story), and it is packed with terrorizing delight (if you like this sort of thing, and I do). This author brings the story to life. The characters had a lot of depth, and were very realistic. This author has a great imagination and I'm glad it's being shared with stories. What an amazing adventure to crawl inside the mind of Danoff, and the stories that he produces. I can just imagine what isn't written down. Screams, white shadows, and something eerie in the air, in this grand room of cubicles. Yes, cubicles, (if you've lived the cubicle life, you know the horrors). "The voices, the cries and screams were faintly heard as they traveled down the stairway. They moved fast enough to avoid being caught in the trance again..." I am a definite fan of this author! The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. This book deserves a second read! (and maybe more). You definitely don't want to miss a word of it. It’s definitely un-put-downable! A wonderfully told story. Brilliant writing! I will definitely add more of this author's books to my bookshelf. The Rooms Have You Now is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
