Amazing stories and true crimes in NYC
George P. Norris writes about the way of life (sadly) in NYC in the 80's and 90's. I am a fan of true crime stories. This is the second book written by this author that I've read. The first book was a thriller, and the author is a former NYPD officer. This book is a collection of stories, that revolve around the increase in crimes in NYS, such as Queens, where the epidemic of "crack" was making the addiction, an increase in violence and intimidation. These are the stories from NYPD's most decorated officers, and some are anecdotes, or experiences, as this book details the history of Southeast Queens, and the war against Crack. This book was written very well. It was detailed and terrifying, especially because of the truth behind the war on drugs. NYPD TRUE is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more titles by this author.
