How a Monster Is Made by RaShell Lashbrook

5 Stars

Magnificent Indeed!

Lashbrook pens a remarkable story in How a Monster Is Made. I haven't read anything from this author before, and I really enjoyed this story. The characters were raw and intense. It's an adventure into what makes a sociopath. A dark story about an exceptional child, Randy. It is hard to describe Randy, but the author did an incredible job of giving this young man his dark side, making the reader wonder if it was within him all the time, or did his childhood circumstances invade his mind as well. An impeccable story that kept this reader savoring every single word, slowly turning every page until the end. This book deserves a second read! (and maybe more). "Strange, he thought; how calm he felt, knowing he was a goner. It was as if he could see everything from a distance. His last thoughts meshed with is first memories."

A very well-written story, and I enjoyed it. A definite attention grabber. The thrills and intrigue is written clearly and the characterizations are engrossing. If you love a good psychological thriller, this book should be next on your list. This story was intriguing and kept the reader guessing, and in many ways, intrigued. If you love a good psychological thriller, this book should be next on your list. I have fast become a big fan of (this author). I look forward to reading many more stories by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
