A splendid mystery

What a thrilling story in Clarissa's Warning by Isobel Blackthorn. Another book by one of my favorite authors, and this is the second book in Blackthorn's Canary Island Mysteries. Each one is its own story with new characters, and can be read stand-alone, however, I always recommend reading all books in the series. Anyone who loves a compelling mystery should take a trip to Canary Island's Fuerteventura. It's a quaint town, with its legends and mysteries, and locals who believe in the power of superstition and the paranormal. Meet Claire, and she is not deterred by locals or superstition when she moves into her new home, an ancient home filled with secrets and spirits. It's the perfect setting for such a suspenseful, and cryptic mystery. I really loved this story and Blackthorn shows the story and what ghastly and ghostly supernatural beings are lingering in the exotic small town. Blackthorn brings every character to life, including the setting of this small, inland town. It’s definitely un-put-downable! It is always an honor to read this author's books. If you love a good small town, haunting mystery, this book should be next on your list. This story was very unpredictable. The author's technique of raw, magnetic characters and great plotlines is a gift. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. Definitely an unpredictable story, my favorite kind! Clarissa's Warning is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
