(CSSD: Central Sterile Services Department)

Very informative
Losper pens an informative title in Managing a CSSD: A personal Perspective by Joan M. Losper. I haven't read work from this author before, and even though I had to really look up what CSSD is and what the department does, so I can be informed when I read this book, I learned a lot about something I didn't even think about before. This book gives a lot of information about Central Sterile Services Department. There are different divisions of the CSSD, which is a sterilization department, meaning the staff not only "cleans" the surgical instruments after use, but goes through a sterilization process. Doctors and Nurses, and other hospital staff could not do their work if this was not a process, and with the era of Covid-19, the staff that is CSSD is extra important. There are five major areas of the CSSD process, Decontamination, Assembly & Processing, Sterilizing, Sterile storage and Storage. Managing a CSSD: A personal Perspective is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews for those who need this information. I look forward to reading more titles by this author.
