Journey of Hope by Melina Druga

5 Stars

A journey that Claire won't soon forget!

What a wonderfully written story in Journey of Hope by Melina Druga. I am a big fan of this author! Whatever this author writes, I will read. This intriguing tale takes the reader back to 1829, and it is written so it fits the era. Claire has had a very hard, with a lot of work and sacrifice, she struggles to survive each day. Harold has a lot of ideas for a better life and is determined to take her away. So, there's that, and then ... not giving it away. It's full of secrets, lies, and a lot of hardship, but there is the relationship between Harold and Claire, not always complementary, but they both have hope, even with everything seemingly falling apart. And since it's 1829, the travels are very long, and interesting, if not disconcerting. This author has a great imagination and I'm glad it's being shared with stories. It’s one of those embraceable stories. It's a historical fiction tale of love, secrets, lies and a very bumpy adventure. Very impressive story telling. Journey of Hope is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more books by this author.
