What a magnetic story in Prey No More by Lee Matthew Goldberg. This is the second book in The Desire Card series. This author brings the story to life. The characters had a lot of depth, and were very realistic. The reader is introduced to a very rugged and rough around the edges J.D, who happens to also be a sniper! Yes, sniper. He finds himself working for The Desire Card, which if you read the first book, Immoral Origins, you remember that it's a very sinister organization, and the "missions" are never friendly. Like the first book, it's a fast-paced, action, fight for survival kind of story. The pace fits the story, and nothing is every compromise. Sometimes, you have to take a deep breath, and then continue on. It definitely comes to life and is a very hard book to put down. A reader can get lost in the story. The author's technique of raw, magnetic characters and great plotlines is a gift. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. Definitely an unpredictable story, my favorite kind! Prey No More is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review.
