Superb story telling!!
What a thrilling story in The Ancestor by Lee Matthew Goldberg. I am a definite fan of Goldberg! It's a story that is between present and past, and adding in a thrilling ride between the two, and how they are related. This story has the amazing setting of Alaska, and though it's a pretty icy backdrop, it's a thread between the past and present, and gold mining. It's a very unique story, and it brings a sense of supernatural, history and family legacy together. It is definitely a thriller, and the snowy wilderness of Alaska captures part of that thrilling element, as it is as dangerous as any killer lurking in the shadows. The characters had a lot of depth, and were very realistic. The story brings the reader on a superb journey. This is a magnificent story that kept this reader turning the pages. A definite attention grabber, so much I couldn't put it down. Both thrilling and intriguing, all the way to the end. The characterizations are engrossing and dynamic.
