Innovative painting with words

This collection of poetry by Petiet is a remarkable work of words. The words paint a picturesque view of Cape Cod, and it's year-round living. I enjoyed reading this collection, and entering the mind of this poet. Such a wonderful read. Petiet shares photos of the seasons of Cape Cod, which introduce the poems. My favorite was Labor Day Seagull which starts with "An entire summer passed with barely a seagull in sight A few distant on the flats, a few on the dock, a few. Were they avoiding the inevitable crowds suddenly shy, or were they fading from view with the other creatures so quietly leaving our world forever?" I liked this so much, I read many of the poems twice. Petiet shows her passion for Cape Cod with her words. I look forward to reading more by this author. Moon Tide: Cape Cod Poems is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
