A Great Read
What a grand story in The Unmarriable Kind by Melina Druga. I am a definite fan of this author! Whatever this author writes, I will read. This author brings the story to life. It's 1884, and Lucretia is a very strong and stubborn schoolteacher. She is single and does not feel she needs to get married to be fulfilled in her life. Even when her sisters are getting married. She is stubborn, and now there's a new headmaster at the school, and his unconventional feelings toward women, make Lucretia take notice. First, the story hits the historical marks, and it's different era conventions, as women are schoolteachers, or they are married. There is hardly and in between. The characters had a lot of depth and were very realistic. It is a very well-written plot, and I enjoyed it. It’s one of those embraceable stories. It is always an honor to read this author's books. This author is a great storyteller. Druga is a multi-genre writer, and she always tells a great story. I will definitely add more of this author's books to my bookshelf. The Unmarriable Kind is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
