Grand Read
McMillan pens a grand science fiction story in Rise of the Sylvans. I have read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. The characters were intense, and doing their best to survive. The act of survival mode lingers over them, as they need to save each other, and the rest of the world. It's an interesting to story to follow, and the characters, Baxter, Raishann, and Laena are connected, and rely on each other. Not only do they have to save themselves and the world, but rewrite the legacy, and end the war in the name of survival. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. It's definitely a broken world they live in, and the story shows that. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author. Rise of the Sylvans is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
