Taking care of oneself
Weber pens an interesting title in Show Up Hard: A Road Map for Helpers in Crisis. This is the first book of this author's that I've read. The book gives information that is very helpful, especially to those who care for others, while also have to take care of themselves. That is an important part of life, and caregiving, and even one that this reader had to learn not so long ago. The title provides insight and experience. This book is tailored to leaders who have to take care of and lead employees, staff or resources, while also looking out for themselves, and not getting lost in leadership. I found that it can be a recipe for any leader, or even caregiver. The title looks towards leadership and professionals, but it can help many professionals, and even those who take on more than they should, without looking out for themselves. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is definitely recommended by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
