Sinners' Opera by Linda Nightingale

4 Stars

Dark and daring!

Nightingale pens a dark romantic vampiric story in Sinners' Opera. I haven't read anything from this author before, and I really enjoyed this story. I became a fan of vampiric stories, and I enjoyed the darkness of this one, as well as the "science" in it. In some ways it can be romantic, and others its dark and almost believable. Obsession is not the best way to fall in love, especially with the vampire doing the stalking. Morgan is a tragic hero so-to-speak with Isabeau the subject of his lust. I liked the story from beginning to end and it wasn't some stereotype vampiric romance. The thrills and intrigue is written clearly and the characterizations are engrossing. The author's technique of intense characters and great plotlines is a gift. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
