Interesting Read!

What an interesting title in The Viral Underclass: The Human Toll When Inequality and Disease Collide by Steven W. Thrasher. I haven't read work from this author before, and I enjoyed this book. This book gives a lot of information about health care and how diseases can spread through out what would be the poor or lower class. It's not that diseases are biased and only want to affect the lower class, but that the lower class may not be able to get the appropriate health care or even insurance that would cover different diseases, that the rich or middle class may afford to. This is about being humane, and humankind, and survival. Survival, especially when there are epidemics or pandemics, that can reach different communities. It is a very compelling book, and it does look at diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and COVID, that not only can affect anyone who is exposed, but the stigma of getting those diseases, especially if part of a specific community, or it is assumed to only affect a certain community, race or lifestyle. The Viral Underclass: The Human Toll When Inequality and Disease Collide is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading more titles by this author. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews recommends that anyone who reads this book, to also write a review.
