A great read

Todd-Hunter pens an interesting time-travelling medieval story in The Making of a King: When the past and the present collide, the fate of a kingdom is at stake. I have read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. The characters were unique and very compelling. The author's writing style is fits the story, as there is a connection between the present and the faraway past (12th-Century to be exact_. This author brings the stories to life. Alix is an interesting character who has hopes to not influence the future when going back to the past. Her intention is well-meaning but it wouldn't be a good story without the butterfly-effect. A King, scheming plots, an upside-down world, and a time-traveler, and romance, what more could you ask for? A great story. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. The author did her homework on the past, making it more believable. It was definitely an enjoyable journey. It's a great read to try and figure out what will happen next and how the author makes the past influence the future, even from so long ago. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
