Very interesting read

Kirk pens a very interesting story in The Red Dirt Hymnbook. Where it has many different aspects of the story, the reader is taken on a journey. This journey shows where she's been, as she learns about herself. Ruby Fae is the main character, who is strong, but also vulnerable. She's on a path she didn't see coming, and thought that she was influenced by God. So, there's that underlying theme of how religion and beliefs shape someone's life, but also the worldly aspects that also influence self-discovery. This book is a great story, and I enjoyed it. Something powerful in self-discovery, and Kirk brings it to life in this book. I look forward to reading more by this author.
