Good Read

Taba pens a good story in When Death is Calling. This is the second book in the Whisper of Demon series. I can say that I saw some growth in Taba's writing from the first book, and this one was better than the first. That's a good sign of a good writer. I enjoyed this story and the plot, and felt its flow met the genre, the dark genre behind the demons. The story itself had some twists and some predictability. Also, some of the details in the writing seemed to use phrases or words that were almost exaggerated. (She glanced round her surroundings and murmured, "Where am I?" She put frowned in concentration and searched through her last memories before waking") Taba is a good storyteller, and he seems to have a knack for "dealing with demons" in his stories. I liked this book, and hope to read more from this author.
