A magnificent LGBTQ+, pirate captain, ex-princess story!
Barnett pens a magnificently fantasy (and so much more) in Windfall. I have't read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. It's fantastical story about Liana, and her life seems to be all about fighting, fighting her past, in the Navy, and for respect, but that's just part of it, and her. I have to say there are some parts that are abusive, or violent, so there may be some triggers, but it's an amazingly written story. Sometimes it comes down to fighting against hate and controlling narcissists. This author has a great imagination and I'm glad it's being shared with stories. This is an enjoyable story, kept this reader turning the pages. This story was intriguing and kept the reader guessing, and in many ways it was such an inspiring story. Windfall is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author.
