A Grand Read
What a grand story in Cost of Victory by C R Saxon. This is the first book that I've read of this author's. I really enjoyed this story. There is social outcast, that happens to be a super hero, and then, survival of the world. The characters had a lot of depth, and were very realistic. Ferdinan is dealing with the aftermath of his past, his heroship, and it's not easy. He's fifteen, saved the world, and then needs to deal with the present, and his feelings toward himself and his life. There is a lot going on here, including thoughts of suicide, depression and other mental and emotional health issues, and the author, writes those well. This author is a great storyteller. The characterizations are engrossing and dynamic. The author's technique of raw, magnetic characters and great plotlines is a gift. This read is more than just words on a page. I hope to read more books by this author. Cost of Victory is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews recommends that anyone who reads this book, to also write a review.
