This is the time of year for picnics and or family gatherings, and most everyone gets Monday off as a Holiday. Well, it is a Holiday. A very important one. As Americans, we sometimes take for granted our Freedoms. As stated in the Declaration of Independence "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..."
We need to remember those who fought for our country, soldiers who gave their lives, soldiers who lost limbs, soldiers who returned home -- those are the unsung heroes who we should thank every day. On this Memorial Day, remember the reasons why you are celebrating a day off. Thank the heroes because each and every man and woman who honor this country by serving in any of the branches of the Armed forces deserve our thanks.
So in your pursuit of happiness, take a moment to reflect.
