"The Interview" What is the one thing you want to tell your readers? I have an hour-long program that I present to groups who want to learn more about The Lucky One. My book is based on my mother's memoir about her life as a refugee fleeing the country of her birth. The two comments I hear most often are - history keeps repeating itself, and the need to get families stories written before it's too late. Make sure you asking your aging relatives for their story.

What advice can you give to other authors? Writing is hard work. Read all the time. One of the best ways to become a better writer is to read. Consider opening a book as part of your writing routine. Don't write alone. Get involved in an online group or find writers at your local library. Hopefully, you'll make a connection with one or two, and they'll become your beta readers. Critique other writers' work. Do it daily. It's the best way to constantly learn and improve your craft. Develop a tough skin. Putting your work out there is like bearing your soul. Expect and demand criticism, and don't be swayed by those who constantly praise your work but offer nothing substantial. Don't be so quick to publish your work. Take your time with your editing, and get it right.

Final thoughts about anything.

To my readers - I would love to hear your thoughts after you've read my book.
