October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. For me, it's also in November. So, For the month of NOVEMBER 2021 ONLY, my book, Fractured Tears: A Struggle for Justice will have a special edition. It will be separate from the regular edition. This book will be in digital format only, and have a new distinguished cover. November 2 of 2021 marks the 16th anniversary of my clash with my husband's fist and what followed, was the struggle to gain justice for myself and my children. I have decided to share my story, the timeline of events, and even some personal letters at the end of the book. It's a special edition. I originally wrote this book in 2016, sharing my story in a fictionalized version, creating the life of Anna Coleman. Her story is still upfront, and mine is at the end. I am doing this not for pity or for reminders, as the pain and neurological-health and mental health issues are a daily reminder, but to help others who may need help, and see that there is help out there.
Both stories have scenes of violence, and may be triggers from some. For me, I hope to gain some peace. It worked for a little while when I wrote the first story, and I need some peace again, even if lasts just for a few days.
