Poetry Tuesday: Eternity

Eternity

The wind whispers lightly,

brushing its breath against my neck

The sun shines bright,

send its rays of warmth against my face

The grass grows beneath my feet,

ticking my soles with its dewy bristles

The tree extends its branches over my head

cooling my body with its shadowy shade

The sky changes its ever-blue hues

casting escalades of dawn, day, dusk

The air surrounds me,

hugging me, enveloping me, holding me, embracing me

The soul still lingers, fills itself within

the twilight of the earth,

The hand that extends from heavens above

to my soul, always holding onto me.

Always around me. Always.

extending until the end of eternity.
